Can Tribe Members donate more the $15?

No, at this time, Tribe Members cannot make a "plain" donation in excess of the $15 Monetary Gift with the Tribe Tag purpose. The Tribe Tag is the foundation of Human Tribe Project because with it, Beneficiaries received both the financial support from the Monetary Gift and the emotional support because every time he/she sees the purchaser wearing it, he/she is reminded of the purchaser’s love and support. When people want to give more, we suggest buying multiple Tribe Tags and giving them to friends and family. This way the Beneficiary gets more money and more people are wearing his/her Tribe Tag.

How are the Monetary Gifts distributed?

Monetary Gifts will be sent to each Beneficiary on a monthly basis in the form of a check made payable to the Beneficiary and mailed to the address provided by the Tribe Manager when the Tribe Page was created. Monetary Gift checks will be sent on or before the 15th day of each month and will include Monetary Gifts given through the last day of the previous month. Monetary Gifts given after the last day of any given month will be included with the next month’s Monetary Gift check. For more information on Monetary Gifts, please review the Monetary Gift Policy.

Are Tribe Pages private?

Each Tribe Page has both public and private portions. The Beneficiary’s blog, Guestbook and all posts are private and only viewable by invited and approved Tribe Members. The Beneficiary’s picture, Story and the Tribe Tag Store for each Beneficiary are public and viewable only when a person searches by the Beneficiary’s name. Allowing these portions to be public maximizes the number of Tribe Tags that can be purchased and thus maximizes the amount of support a Beneficiary can receive.

How long does my Tribe Page stay active?

A Tribe Page will stay active until you change its status to inactive. An inactive Tribe Page will still exist and appear on your My Tribes page, but it cannot offer financial support because Tribe Tags cannot be purchased on inactive Tribe Pages.

To do so, click Edit Tribe under the Manage tab and change the Tribe status to inactive. An inactive Tribe Page will still exist and appear on your My Tribes page, but it cannot offer financial support because Tribe Tags cannot be purchased on inactive Tribe Pages

Human Tribe Project encourages Beneficiaries to use the money to ease the financial burden of his/her crisis. For many Beneficiaries, that will mean paying for medical expenses, for some it will mean paying other bills and for others it may mean paying for one last trip with his family or friends. If a Beneficiary has no financial burdens, he or she may donate the money or otherwise use the money in any way he or she sees fit
