This is Anna, a 35 year old woman and a good friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Her solice is her horse. However, just prior to her diagnosis it became clear that the horse she owned was not a good fit. A twist of fate led her to "swap" horses with another boarder at the barn where she keeps her horse. This new horse "Dexter" became her saving grace....just after the swap Anna was diagnosed with breast cancer and she made the brave decision to have both her breasts removed. During her recovery, Dexter (who is patiece, kind and quiet) helped her get her "horse time" even when she couldn't ride. He is an animal who seems to instinctively know exactly what she needs.
Anna has finished chemo therapy and is now facing radiation treatment. Joining her Tribe "Horses for a Cure" will help her with her extensive medical expenses and recovery! To know Anna is to love Anna!(and Dexter too!)
